The space

Nestled between the imposing beauty of Helm crag and Silver Howe sits the resplendent Helm view, this attractive holiday home is immaculately presented and offers wonderfully bright and adaptable accommodation which is full of light and welcoming warmth. It doesn’t really matter which window you might be gazing from, the views are simply superb in all directions. The iconic Helm Crag (The Lion and the Lamb) features alongside Silver How and a variety of equally gorgeous fells, although for many, the delightful views of the tumbling waters of Greenhead Gill will be those which linger longest in the memory. Simply wonderful!

Quietly placed, far enough out of Grasmere Village so as to be untroubled by the hustle and bustle and yet within strolling distance for a drink or two or an evening meal in one of the many highly regarded traditional Lakeland Inns or restaurants, the accommodation design features heavily on large windows letting in plenty of light and opening up those views.

Helm view boasts 4 spacious bedrooms, 3 of which are located on the ground floor, offering great accessible accommodation. There is a spacious master bedroom en-suite located on the first floor with its own stairway, seating area and superb views, it offers a tranquil retreat away from the hub of the house. The further 3 bedrooms on the ground floor offer 2 king-size bedrooms, one en-suite and a further bedroom with twin trundle beds, comfortable sleeping 4 – the perfect kid’s hideout room away from the adult spaces.

The house has a lovely flow, with the open plan kitchen/snug being the heart of the house, offering all the cooking amenities required for a large group. The kitchen boasts a huge table with bench seating to comfortably accommodate 10 for leisurely breakfasts or hearty roasts. The kitchen has sliding doors onto the most beautiful terrace overlooking the flowing stream that runs down the side of the garden.

The comfortable lounge is situated just off the kitchen with a real wood-burning fire, it’s the perfect place to relax after a long day spent exploring the stunning surroundings, with comfortable seating, books and games and a scenic reading corner it’s a place the whole family can enjoy together whatever the weather.

Outside the huge, terraced garden wraps the house with walkways and seating areas, with a waterfall at the northernmost tip of the property creating a beautifully flowing stream that runs down the edge of the garden.

There is a flat lawn, perfect for outdoor games and a dining terrace with a brand new hot tub.

The splendid garden is finished off with a detached modern cedar-built garden room with another en-suite shower room, the perfect garden room/dressing room for the hot tub or snug/hang out for older children – It boasts a comfortable corner sofa, TV X-box and fridge.

If a beautiful light and bright house, plentiful bedrooms with multiple hang-out areas and a brand-new hot tub are what you are looking for then look no further –Helm view will not disappoint in style, location and amenities.

Location: A little bit about Grasmere

What more can be said about Grasmere? Wordsworth once described it as “the loveliest spot that man hath ever found”, and we are not inclined to disagree! Sit beneath the canopy of the mature Yew Tree beside the poet’s final resting place in the quaint 13th century church of St Oswald’s. Alongside, the gentle flow of the River Rothay tinkles by, as the drifting aroma of Grasmere gingerbread evokes nostalgia for an era gone by.
